Natural High Alpine Adventures would like to share a mountaineering and cultural expedition to Ecuador. We will attempt to climb the two highest summits of the Ecuadorian Andes, Cotopaxi (5987m) and Chimborazo (6,310m). We will visit the traditional market in Otavalo, enjoy the local villages at the base of the Andes, and enjoy thermal baths high in the alpine. The highlights of the trip include the ascent of the two highest summits of Ecuador as well as visits to the local communities and villages so we can benefit from the diverse Ecuadorian culture.

The climb is technically straightforward but physically demanding therefore prior mountaineering is not necessary but preferred. Plenty of time will be given for proper acclimatization as the hikes and treks in the area will provide us with acclimatization opportunities. We will also incorporate a snow and glacier school prior to the climbs.

Day 1: Arrive in Quito
Day 2: Saturday market in Otovalo
Day 3 & 4: Hikes and treks for acclimatization
Day 5: Climb Illiniza Norte
Day 6 to 9: Glacier school and climb of cotopaxi Day
Day 10: Rest day in Baños (Thermal baths)
Day 11: Drive to Chimbo. Hike to Hut
Day 12 & 13: Climb Chimbo
Day 14: Return to Quito, Celebration dinner.
Day 15: Farewell after breakfast.
